How to remove stickers without damaging surfaces

Need stickers that can be removed later? We can help select a removable adhesive for your particular surface and intended duration.

Start at an edge

Lift an edge with a fingernail or plastic tool and peel back slowly at a low angle. Pulling hard can tear the backing.

Avoid metal scrapers on delicate coatings, paint or soft plastics.

Use heat carefully

Gentle warmth can soften certain adhesives. If appropriate for the surface, keep a hair dryer moving at a distance and stop if the surface becomes hot.

Heat can damage coatings, plastics or painted surfaces. Test a small spot first and do not rely on heat universally.

Deal with adhesive residue

Try a soft cloth and mild cleaning solution where the substrate allows. Avoid abrasive pads.

Specialist adhesive removers may help, but check compatibility and test first. Strong solvents can damage paint and plastics.

Quote checklist
