Paper or vinyl stickers: which should you choose?

Ordering paper or vinyl stickers? We help you select the right construction for your product, surface and expected conditions, combining a good finish with reliable use.

When is paper a good option?

Paper labels can work for dry packaging, boxes, bags and temporary indoor promotions. They can give a natural or understated finish.

Moisture, oil and abrasion may affect paper. Coating can help in some situations but does not automatically make a paper label waterproof.

When should you consider plastic film?

Vinyl and other synthetic films can suit applications involving moisture, cleaning or frequent contact. Outdoor applications may also call for UV-resistant print and suitable lamination.

No single film works on every surface. Textured, curved or low-temperature substrates can require different materials and adhesives.

Adhesive selection matters

Permanent and removable adhesives behave differently on glass, cardboard, plastic and metal. Consider the actual substrate, temperature and desired removal characteristics.

Test a sample on the real surface where possible, particularly for delicate coatings or surfaces that are difficult to bond.

Quote checklist

  • What is the surface: smooth, rough, curved or coated?
  • Will the label face moisture, grease, heat or cold?
  • Should the adhesive be permanent or removable?
  • Do you prefer matte, gloss or clear?

We help align material and production specifications with your particular project when preparing your quote.
